Waimarino is proud to offer the first ever river boat cruise on the Wairoa River. This 11m long by 4.5metre wide alloy twin pontoon craft has been designed by local Tauranga boat builders, Alloy Boats and is licensed to carry 49 passengers. The boat has proudly carried Prince Andrew.
With a BBQ and hot water provisions on board this can make for a classic staff function, conference with a difference, or just a chance to take time out and immerse yourself in some lovely Bay of Plenty scenery.
The calmness of the Wairoa River enables the River Cruise to depart in any weather.

Just a message to say how much we enjoyed the sunset cruise aboard the Awakuini. The Wairoa River is very beautiful indeed, something we would have never been able to experience as a group in the past however your cruises have enabled this for not only us but also for others to enjoy. Although there was a good number of us the boat was spacious and very comfortable. The relaxing nature of the cruise was welcomed by those onboard and along with your local knowledge of the river and it's interesting legends it made for two hours of thoroughly enjoyable cruising.
